What Buyer’s should look for?

You can see that people desire the comfort more than the safety. This should not be the case. Electronic stability system and ABS braking reduce the death rate due to accidents considerably. The cars involved in serious accidents with safety features such as airbags etc installed survive but the one that don’t pay the penalty. When a buyer goes out to buy a car he should look for cars that have government’s five-star crash-test rating.

The following are the tips about safety for your car. Do get safety features to have a safer journey.

1. Antilock Braking System (ABS)

ABS or anti lock braking system does not lock the wheel when panic braking is carried out. What the computer does is that when it senses a panic brake that would lead to a wheel locking condition then it rapidly pulses the braking pressure.

In normal brakes the wheels get locked which means they are stopped completely while the car is in motion and the result of this is that the wheels skid along the road. ABS eliminates some major flaws in the normal brakes. First it reduces the stopping distance even on slippery roads as the tiers don’t skid. Second is that the steering is maintained. In normal braking system, if the tiers skid then the steering is completely lost and the car goes in one direction. On the contrary, by using ABS you can steer the car while the brakes are still applied and can save yourself from crashing.
