The climate control switches and knobs and the controls for audio and other functions are placed in the center of the dashboard on almost a horizontal surface.
Below it is the 7 inch LCD and dual air-conditioning vents. Due to clear layouts and visible markings the control knobs, push buttons and switches are easy to see and operate.

This system uses an intelligent key. Car senses its presence in your pocket and unlocks the doors. It can also be programmed to open windows, and adjust seat and mirror positions. When you sit in the car all you need to do is to press the push button for ignition. No need of inserting any keys.
The 2006 M has a Brazilian Rose wood trim. Real wood is used with a semi-gloss finish. In the sport models aluminum trim is used instead of wood as standard but one can opt for a wooden trim too. Around the buttons and knobs chrome trim rims have been used enhancing cars interior looks.
Driver’s seat is very comfortable and in the sports model with bigger side bolsters it provides even more comfort. It is powered and can be adjusted in 10 ways.
The rear passengers with premium package installed get heated seats, controls inside rear seat armrest, DVD system with remote controlled folding LCD in the ceiling, separate climate controls give the passengers excellent comfort. Without the package the cars rear still gives very good head and leg room.
The trunk has average capacity giving 15 cubic feet luggage space and if full size extra tire is installed only 11 cubic feet are left.
Nissan's Advanced Air Bag System is a standard feature in new M. This system includes front and rear dual side curtain and front driver and passenger dual stage airbags.
Traction control system provides grip in bad weather conditions. The ABS braking is a standard feature along with brake assist. EBD or electronic brake force distribution is has made the brakes more stable, the car doesn’t loose grip because of any slipping tire and has shortened the breaking distance too. A system for monitoring tire pressure is also a standard feature.
These features include warning system for lane departure, pre crash seat belts and preview braking system.
The interior of the new M certainly has its own unusual styling but in a very positive manner.
