2006 G35 has an aggressive design and with its curvaceous headlights, short overhangs, catamaran fenders it has a certain appeal. It is less expensive than the Mercedes or BMW but it is a tough competitor in terms of handling and performance. The interior has been enriched, horsepower has been increased, big and better brakes have certainly made it exquisite.
2006 G35 is not just a coupe with two doors. It’s a GT and has a visual sports character of its own. The G35 coupe has larger wheel base and more comfortable than the Nissan 350Z. The g35 has rear seats and separate trunk which makes this coupe more practical.
2006 G35 coupe comes with rear active steer as an option that enhances steer ratio by the help of electric motor and computer. This system is continuously adjusting the geometry of rear suspension. Several optional packages are new and an all wheel drive G35xis also available.
2006 G35 has revision in the 2005 models styling. The rear tail lights are different and the head lamps are projector beam.
The styling of the coupe was changed in 2005 with all new headlamps, tail lamps, bumpers, hood and trunk.
On the front the air intakes are enlarged. The design gives it a sporty front look and the rear is classier than before. The headlamps are stacked vertically, raised fenders at front which manage airflow as well. The rear deck is shorter that ends up in crispy crease.
Aerodynamics of the car has been given special attention especially under the car. Deflectors and diffusers have been used to front lift of 0 degree which reduces wind noise and drag at higher speeds. Rear spoiler that is optional also gives rear 0 degree lift.
G35 coupe and sedan have the same mechanical platform of rear wheel drive. The engine has been moved rear ward that has improved the balance of the car considerably.
The wheel base is longer and it provides stability at high speeds. Wider track has given it added cornering capability. Better handling has been achieved by increasing weight towards the rear.
