Mercedes Benz has taken some cars out of the line up for 2006. In 2006 no wagons and coupes are available.
Mercedes is only offering C class sedans in 2006 with a fresh change of replacing the old engines with a new V6 engine.
This engine with dual overhead has the latest equipment and its valves are fully variable.
Mercedes Bens has divided the C class in two main categories i.e. Luxury and Sports models. The sports C class models have lower height, sporty and firm suspension and more powerful brakes. These models also have three spoke thick steering wheel, the seats have more cushion, a new aluminum trim and low body shell.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Safety Features
The Mercedes Benz has not let down any of its safety features in the C class cars. Every C class car has the best safety features provided by Mercedes. For 2006 models new active head restraints are provided. These head restraints help the neck by moving 2 inches in forward direction and 1 inch in upward direction to reduce the whiplash injury in case of a rear collision. There are air bags and head protection curtain air bags running entire length of the cabin on both sides. The rear seat side impact bags can be added by spending some extra $385.
Final Word
The best thing about the 2006 C class sedans is that Mercedes has brought us a luxury starting under $30000 or almost equal to the loaded Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. This is the reason why C class model sales have increased at a high rate because many people are looking for a Mercedes design and strength in a normal sedan.
