Volkswagen Base Passat
The base Passat car costs $22,950 and is equipped with an all new 200 hp 2.0 liters V6 four cylinder turbocharged engine. Volkswagen has offered two trims for the base Passat. Value edition of Passat has two choices. The manual 6 speed is of the same price but the automatic 6 speed Tiptronic transmission increases the price of the car making it for $24,025.
Volkswagen Base Passat Standard Features
The Volkswagen Passat’s upholstery for the base model is nice leatherette. The front seats of driver and passenger are both 8 way adjustable and to provide more comfort they have lumbar support and adjustable head restraints. The rear seats are split/folding 60/40 seats that further increases the interior utility. There is only one sun visor.
The Volkswagen’s claim that the car will get to a 135 mph with the all new 6 cylinder 3.6 liter engine was indeed true. The best thing is that the immense power produced is tuned in so nicely with sophisticated suspension and chassis that the car gives incredible stability at such high speeds.

The new 2006 Passat’s interior is redesigned for the new model year and has a roomier cabin than the previous model.
