Steering


The G35 is quite stable at higher speeds and tight corners. The steering is responsive and on winding roads the driver gets good handling. You can rotate the car and steer it with throttle in the corners.

Sport suspension


The sporty suspension has some special springs and shocks. The tiers are P225/45WR18 for the summer. You will hear small wind noise speeding over 70 miles but it is a firm drive.

Comparison

The V6 on G35 if equipped with a manual transmission gives 298-horse-power and the torque is 260 pound/feet. With the automatic 5-speed transmission the horse power generated reduces and becomes 280 but the torque produced is 270 pound/feet.

The sport sound is produced by the V6 and the lower torque available moving through towns is not any problem. On the other hand, if the pedal is pressed it gives very good acceleration too.

Transmission


The clutch is firm and the gear shift requires attention but it is direct and precise. Automatic 5 speed transmission is very smooth and responsive when the car is accelerated. This transmission in manual mode keeps track of the driver’s intention. If the 3rd gear is being used but a need of 2nd is felt the transmission even in manual mode will shift to second but will not shift to any higher gear if you take your foot off the gas.

The rear seats are very comfortable and a 5 foot 10 inch person can have plenty of shoulder, leg, head and hip room. If the driver is a 6 foot 2 inch and the seat is pushed all the way back then the leg room for rear passenger will be limited. The premium package gives the rear air-conditioning for the passengers comfort. The premium package also includes rear foldable seats.

Cabin Storage


There is not enough cabin storage space. Only 2 small glove boxes, storage compartment on center of the dash board, storage in centre console which is good for cell phones etc and sunglasses holder present the storage places.

Accessories


Home link which can be used to open the garage doors and gates is also available. Sunshades keep the light out of the driver’s eyes and the door handles are easily operate able.

Trunk Space


The sedan has large trunk capacity and provides 14.8 cubic feet of cargo space.

Coupes Interior


The coupe has a similar interior as compared to the sedan. The front seats of coupe have heavier bolsters and wrap around your body. They are not so comfortable for long drives.

The interior of G35 is more luxurious and has nicer trim than the Nissan 350Z. the interior of the coupe has some storage bins and cup holders.

The G35 coupe also has four seats instead of two as in Nissan 350Z. The rear seat has good foot and leg room but there is very less head room. Small people can fit really easily in there. A simple three dimensional translucent plastic spoiler is placed between the tail lights. License plate is placed in a recess in rear face of the car.
